Ecologically minded, Anderson
wanted her “first and only”
wedding to be kind to her guests
and also to her environment.
Both ceremony and reception
occurred on her parents’ three
acres of property. “We tried not
to be wasteful,” she said. “I chose
materials that were harvested
sustainably and that were
biodegradable. We know how
impactful a wedding can be on
the environment and the amount
of waste involved.”
Instead of throwing rice or
birdseed at the newly wedded
couple, the flower girls tossed
French lavender into the breeze.
Just because Anderson limited
her ecological impact doesn’t
mean she limited the food. In
