t’s time to do a check-up on your clothing, sled and trailer for another wonderful snow season. Safety starts with you and your equipment making certain that is will function properly. Now is the time to get it done. Before you begin on the sled and trailer give them a good cleaning so that it is easier to view everything. A little polish will make them look new too. It is important to clean the carburetors to remove any dirt and gunk from old gas remaining in the carbs during summer. Check the boggy wheels for loose bearing’s, the track for missing track clips and studs. There is much more to do that is found in your snowmobile maintenance manual. Today, many snowmobiles are fuel injected and do not need carburetor cleaning but they should be inspected for anything loose from last year’s riding activities. Don’t forget to check out the trailer for proper functioning of hinges, locks, jack, wheel bearings and brakes. If you are not interested in doing these checks yourself and/or do not have the time it is good to contact your dealer to arrange an appointment for the pre-season check-up and maintenance done.
