GIRLS WITH SKILLS
LADY BALLERS IN THE EBC
Jayla Powers-6’2” Center/Forward, Westminster High School (Class of 2016)
Jayla’s skill combined with a soft touch from the 7-10’ range puts her in that stretch forward class. Jayla is also capable of playing the post. She combines a nice turnaround
jumper over her left shoulder with a wicked reverse pivot jump hook over her right to
keep post defenders off balance. She also has the ability to get to the rim from the high
post and by doing so, her size and skill makes her scoring or being fouled a common action. Jayla is very capable in making a good pass out of a double team while making the
best basketball decision available.

Kayla Leach (5’6”- Combo Guard), College City High School (Class of 2016)
Kayla is a very good combo guard with a very high basketball IQ to go along with a soft
shooting touch. As a second guard, she understands how to play off of her jump shot and
get to the basket or finish with a nice floater in the lane. When she moves over to the point
she does a good job in pick-n-roll situations with the vision to set her teammates up off
the dribble. Kayla has deadly range from the 3 point arc which opens up opportunities to
get in the paint.

Alanica Bell (5’7”- Combo Guard), City College High School(Class of 2016)
Alanica is a very athletic, aggressive and tough player. Her ability to drive and keep her
line no matter the pressure puts help-side defenders in a quandary whether to stop her
drive or jab and recover. A very capable scorer, she takes pride in her ability to drive and
dish for a score. Alanica is a very tough and physical defender who can be a terror for her
opponent, Alanica has worked very hard before the spring to become more consistent
from the 3-point line.
