NOTICE OF 2014 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Notice is hereby given that the 2014 Annual General Meeting of the SAVA Wildlife
Group will take place at Stone Cradle, Pretoria, on Saturday, 8 March 2014, at
16h00.
Motions for discussion at the annual general meeting, seconded by a member, must
reach the secretary/treasurer, Dr Silke Pfitzer, by email: [email protected] by
17h00 on 7 February 2014.
Please note that as has been done in recent years, the intention is to have a general
discussion on group issues at the same venue on Friday 7 March at 17h00, in order
to limit discussion time in the AGM and simply allow for voting where possible.
Some matters discussed on this day may not pertain to the AGM/need voting
on. Should you have any such matters for discussion please submit them to the
secretary/treasurer, Dr Silke Pfitzer, by email: [email protected] by 17h00 on
7 February 2014
The portfolios of Chairman, Vice-Chairman and one additional committee member
will be vacated for the 2014 term, while Dr Silke Pfitzer (Secretary-Treasurer) and
Dr Roy Bengis (Additional member taking care of the group PR/Review magazine)
are both available for re-election. According to our new constitution the incoming
Chairperson will serve a two year term, while the other officers still serve a one year
term and may be re-elected. Please send nominations, signed by the proposer and
seconder, to the current secretary/treasurer, Dr Silke Pfitzer, by email:
[email protected] by 17h00 on 7 February 2014.
Members will be notified 14 days or more before the AGM of motions for discussion
at the AGM, general discussion points for the meeting on the 7th and committee
nominations. Ballot papers and proxy voting forms will also be distributed then.
