– practical in smaller camps or bomas
ZOLETIL 6.6 mg per kg live mass (international hand book of wildlife chemical immobilization)
Zoletil / Medetomidine – 1mg/kg zoletil and 0.05 mg/kg medetomidine reverse
with atipamezole at 5X medetomidine
Detomidine 0.05 mg/kg + Butorphanol 0.05mg /kg + ketamine 1 mg/kg (Bouts T- Cape town congress)
Brett Garner (wildlife forum) – in controlled conditions makes the following mix known as BAM:
» » 6ml of 50mg/ml Butorphanol
» » 2ml of 100mg/ml Azaperone
» » 6ml of 20mg/ml medetomidine

species adds ketamine to the dart. Reverse with naltrexone and atipamezole,
