SCOUT 275 LXF
It ’ s become increasingly clear over the years that there are four distinct categories of boats when it comes to quality and aesthetics . First there ’ s the simple “ rolled gunwale ” boat with its telltale spatter paint job to hide irregularities . Next would be the common entry-level boat with its “ liner ” and more appealing interior surfaces , which offers a nice step up in amenities from the first category . From here , we move into the largest grouping , which includes pricier , but wellthought-out designs with a high level of fit and finish , and virtually any amenity one could need . Boats in this category could cost anywhere from $ 40,000 to $ 400,000 depending on size , and will no doubt serve their owners very well .
The fourth and final category , however , is quite small . Only a select few manufacturers meet the requirements to be in this category . It ’ s reserved for boats that break the mold . Boats that introduce exciting technologies new to the industry . Boats that raise the level of precision craftsmanship to heights not seen outside of the yachting world . These are boats so stunning in appearance and so intelligently designed , you gasp when you see one up close . Simply put , they go far and above what anyone would expect . A maker of boats fitting this description is Scout . Since its founding nearly three decades ago , the company ’ s goal has been to manufacture the best-built boats in its distinctive sportfishing niches . Scout has done just that .
Scout Boats recently unveiled the new 275 LXF , a forward seating center console model with the company ’ s revolutionary Nu-V3 high performance , fuel-saving hull design .
As mentioned above , Scout is known for introducing models with market-first innovations that separate their boats from the competition , and the 275 LXF is no exception . One interesting feature is the wave gate / fold down stern seat , which folds down all the way to the deck floor creating easy access to the transom , swim platforms and engines .
