We had the opportunity to test out this amazing 18-foot boat at a Demo Day for Panga Marine and we loved it . As we arrived at the docks , we were greeted by Tom , an owner at Panga , and were given a run-down of what makes this little 18-foot boat an affordable opportunity that any angler should consider taking .
Panga has made this a fully customizable vessel that truly caters to the average angler and boatsman . With a price point that is attractive to all ages , the 18 EVO allows you to swap between center consoles that can either be plumbed with livewells or simply used for dry storage . It allows you to cater the build to your unique needs . Whether you are an avid angler or just a family man trying to get his wife to say yes , this boat gives you the ability to show the boats true versatility .
The 18 EVO offers a completely redesigned interior from the stringers up . Some of the new features include 11-inch wide walk-around gunnels , which are great when you are running around trying to keep that trophy fish on the hook by allowing you the space to move without the fear of falling off . Wide gunnels definitely raise the bar for fishability . Another key feature we appreciated was how it sliced through a moderate chop with such ease while keeping us dry and comfortable .
In addition , the 18 EVO has a larger fore deck that has two compartments with enough room to store four 5-gallon buckets and safety equipment , plus a separate anchor locker , a larger aft-deck with two round , insulated , 12-gallon live wells . Also , a 5-gallon bucket fits in the removable storage bin located in the rear deck allowing easy access to the bilges for servicing or additional storage .
