COURSE DESCRIPTION History, literature, art, music, and philosophy will be integrated into a course of study designed to give students an understanding of world history and culture from the earliest origins of human development through contemporary times. This course will explore aspects of world history other than Western, which will shed light on our global inheritance. At the start of a new century, it is clear that world events affect us in Cobb County. Students must know and understand our cultural and historical heritage to live in the present and to prepare for the future. This course is designed for gifted and honors students.
