The Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants ’ Award for Outstanding Accounting Graduate
The Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants ’ Award for Outstanding Accounting Graduate is given to the graduating student who has demonstrated exceptional academic progress and who has demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in public accounting .
Recipients : Stephanie Webb Bachelor of Science in Accounting
Stephanie Webb is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Gwynedd Mercy University and aspires to obtain her Pennsylvania CPA licensure to become an auditor . Over the summer , she will be interning with KPMG with the expectation of joining the firm in Fall 2022 after the completion of her MBA . During her time at GMercyU , Stephanie has served as a peer tutor with the Academic Resource Center and a Griffin Ambassador with the Admissions Office . She was also inducted as a member of Sigma Beta Delta , the National Business Honors Society . In Fall 2019 , Stephanie participated in a case study competition through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education ( IACBE ) with a team of peers led by Professor Ronald Bruce . They achieved second place as GMercyU ’ s first team to participate in the competition . Outside of the classroom , Stephanie has had two local internships , one as a tax intern with Herbein + Company , Inc ., and a second as a financial reporting intern with Ascensus .
