hand , death of a loved one can also lead to depression and this fear of death may completely disappear . They may feel completely at peace .
Picasso eventually worked in the same studio of his late friend . As time went on , Picasso psychological state became worse and he fell into depression . Before The Blue Period , Picasso ’ s artwork was extremely popular and financially he was doing well . However , when the color blue began to dominate his work and he would paint pictures of society ’ s poor , critics began to shy away from this art . The public no longer wanted to face this reality . This situation even applies to society today . People do not like to see the “ outcasts ” of society ; it is often hard for people to face the reality of the hardship people may face . Most people only want to fill their life with happiness and avoid situation that are sad . Furthermore , this caused Picasso ’ s financial situation to crumble and he fell deeper into depression . One of Picasso ’ s famous pieces of art during The Blue Period is “ The Blind Man ’ s Meal ”.
“ The Blind Man ’ s Meal ” was painted in 1903 and is of a man sitting at a table with an empty bowl , a bread roll in hand , a napkin , and a vase that holds some kind of drink . The man is sitting at a table and it seems as if he is in a small room . Looking deeper into the picture , the viewer can reflect on what Picasso was trying to portray to the audience . First , the color of this painting effectively conveys what Picasso was feeling during this time period . Most of the painting is in blue or blue-green . The color blue
