Honors College Art & Science of Emotions Fall 2017 (12:00 p.m.) Sadness Journal | Page 3
This Journal’s contents focus on how we feel and understand our
sadness. It includes pieces about what are supposed to be the happiest
days and how they can become sad, how sadness affects us, and how our
sadness is viewed by us and by society. Being able to read how others
have analyzed an emotion we all feel allows us to better understand why
we sometimes feel sadness and depression . This journal’s articles are a
guide to seeing how we experience sadness when we are told not to, and
how we feel when we are defeated. Reading and thinking about these es-
says can help us comprehend our own feelings and empathize with how
others experience those same feelings, specifically sadness.
