leave college riddled with debt, and sleep becomes something people just day dream about; that is,
when they have time. Welcome to college, the best years of your life: filled with dashed hopes, soiled
dreams, dark under eyes, coffee crazes, and stress being your most frequented friend.
What effect does this reality, which is the exact opposite of our expectations, have on the stu-
dents who enter college? It can be summed up in a few words: sadness, anxiety, depression, and
stress. These emotions are the four that, regardless of the career you intend to go into, all college stu-
dents major in. You feel sadness because, no matter what you choose to do in college, you always
feel like you are missing out on some experience you were “supposed to” have. Anxiety is felt because
there is always something to worry about, whether it be that friend who is angry at you for some rea-
son or another, that class that just
