The Greater Bay Area is built under the conditions of one country, two systems, three customs zones and three currencies, including many aspects of planning and construction, but I am most interested in the construction of transportation. Because my cousin lives in Zhuhai, my aunt lives in Macao, my grandmother lives in Zhongshan, and I live in Shenzhen, but I was born in Hong Kong. With convenient transportation, my time to and from these cities will be greatly shortened, the transportation options are more extensive and the journey is more comfortable. According to the statistics, by the end of 2018, the density of the expressway network in the Greater Bay Area has reached 7.96 kilometres per 100 square kilometres, making it one of the densest areas in the country. The density of the expressway network in the core area is higher than that in the three bay areas of New York, Tokyo and London. An intercity railway network with Guangzhou as the core, running from the north to the south and connecting the east and the west has basically taken shape. Hong Kong port, Guangzhou port and Shenzhen port are the top ten container ports in the world. The passenger throughput of civil aviation is 215 million, ranking first in the global bay area. In September 2008, the Guangzhou- Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway was officially opened to traffic, marking that Hong Kong joined the national high-speed railway network formally and entered a new era of high-speed railway. The opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao bridge in October 2018 is of great significance to further enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of the pearl river delta region and ensure the long-term prosperity and stability of Hong Kong and Macao. With the construction of world-class airports on the fast track and the coordinated development and comprehensive utilization of resources among the airports of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, it will become an important aviation gateway for China's opening up and an important aviation hub for the world.
