Future Adventure of the Greater Bay Area

The 21st century has been a huge challenge for the mankind. We are suffering from poor environment,
which causes a lot of bad consequences, including worsening global warming. In addition, intensive political
unrest across the globe has hampered the livelihood of people. Apart from that, people have to adjust with
the ever-advancing technology. Within the Greater Bay Area, Hong Kong is facing the problem of ageing
population while China is struggling with the adverse impact of one-child policy. As teamwork is of the
utmost importance in solving complex issues, the formation of the Greater Bay Area would facilitate the
cooperation amongst the eleven cities and tackling their respective issues. The following discusses the
benefits of the formation of the Greater Bay Area in terms of innovation and technology, environmental
protection and youth development.
Firstly, in terms of innovation and technology, Hong Kong will play a leading role in developing
and applying the 5G technology. As Hong Kong is fully equipped to host the 5G technology, elderlies
residing in Hong Kong would be heavily benefited by it. They could use the 5G technology using
electronic devices to attain more information. As time goes on, the 5G technology could effectively help
take care of the elderlies and facilitate their daily routine in form of automatic cars and electric glasses. These
will remind them of their schedule, help them connect with people and entertain them. Apart from that, our
society would become more knowledgeable and the access to educational content and information get
easier.
For environmental protection, a sustainable future would require a stronger mindset and action
forwards environmental protection. We can build infrastructure similar to that of the Waste-to-Energy
Park at Dongguan. The Waste-to-Energy Park collects industrial and household wastage and transforms it
into new renewable energy. Such transformation process turns waste into electricity that supports the needs
of the entire facility and supply for the public use. In the long run, the Greater Bay Area will have less waste
and would be self-sustaining and environmentally friendly region. Moreover, in Beijing, there are some
recycle bins that automatically open when the residents are approaching. The six recycle bins are used to sort
out plastic, paper, metal, glass, kitchen waste and other waste. The Chinese government could effectively
promote them by sharing this policy and environmental protection techniques with the eleven cities through
cooperating as a large whole region of the Greater Bay Area.
Lastly, for youth development, formation of the Greater Bay Area would lead to an increase in
number of universities, colleges and schools for the youth to learn and develop different skills. Cookery
university for youths who want to become a chef. We can invite professional and chefs form all around the
globe to teach and share their famous and savory dishes along with skills with youths. Eventually, the youth
could develop their potential talent and true value. In the course of studying, the youth can share
experiences, work together, tackle on various challenges, or collaborate on different projects. It opens up on
different projects a channel to communicate and understand other cities’ youth’s culture and backgrounds. It
also lays a foundation stone to set up a channel for the youths to express their own opinions and accept
different views. And because the youth in Hong Kong are our future leaders, so they will develop with
sympathy and empathy in their life.
Through continuing innovation and technology development, enhanced environmental protection,
and scope for youth development, the Greater Bay Area would be a positive move for all the eleven cities,
making it a better place to live. Definitely, the perfoliate society problem would solve subsequently along
teamwork and cooperation.
