A typical day for kids
An 8-year-old’s typical day will be like this.
After a healthy breakfast, my driverless car takes me to a golf course for a 45-minute practice. When
I arrive at school, my study will start with a Chinese professor from Zhongshan University giving a
Madarin lecture on Li Bai and Traditional Tang Poems. Next, I will do an online self-taught math
course on Internet, and then discuss Shakespeare with my English teacher, a PHD from Oxford. After
lunch, I might have a virtual trip either to Mars or Xi’an, the Capital City of Tang Dynasty in Ancient
China. Finally, I can finish school with a show and tell on the 3D print of my art design. Sometimes
after school, I have to practice Kung-fu or piano. But luckily, we have no-homework and no-after-school-
tutoring rules, and I only go to school four days a week.
“In 20 years, the knowledge we learn today may be obsolete, the popular jobs may be taken by
robots, so how can we prepare for the unknown future?” This question that our Headmaster always asks
is probably the only “homework” I need to solve.
