n a cloudy Saturday morning in the city of Shanghai China 1744 , when the sun was not anywhere to be seen , Michael Larth packed up with hopes to run away from the army . Michael was a harmless person who never wanted to be in danger . As Michael was trying to escape , he got cornered by an Imperial Warrior who took out his scroll and said , “ Michael Larth , you have been called to war !” Michael answered humbly , “ Please sir , I ' m not from here . My father died in London , when I was only three years old and since then I ' ve been traveling around ”. Then the Warrior said , “ You traveled by yourself ?” Michael replied “ No , with my two older brothers , but only one is still alive ”. “ Well you ' ve had a tough life ”, said the Warrior , “ But you still have to come ”. “ Please !” Michael pleaded . The man insisted , “ No you ' re still coming , now come on !” Michael gave his last shout before he got whisked away .
The Warrior banged him on the head and dragged him to the horse ! Michael woke up in the bathroom and got scared . Suddenly one of the Warriors barged in and said “ The emperor wants to see you in the capital ”. Michael was scared because these Chinese Warriors were quite frightening . Then he thought about the emperor , which would be much more scary . While he was busy thinking , the Warrior said “ are you going to come or am I going to have to drag you ?”. “ I can walk ”, Michael said . “ Good , come on ”, said the Warrior . Getting to the Emperor was easy but being in front of him was the hard part . When Michael arrived he was melting from fear . All he wanted to do was get out as fast as he could . Then the Emperor looked down and said angrily , “ Michael Larth why have you been disobeying my orders ?! You must go to war and fight for China !” Michael asked , “ why ? I ' m not from China ”, “ rules are rules ” said the Emperor . “ You are the emperor and you can change the rules , can ' t you ? “ said Michael . “ I can but I don ' t want to ” said the emperor . Michael replied “ Please have a heart , I beg you !” The emperor said without a doubt , “ I have a heart but it ' s telling me that if you go in the army Shanghai will be protected ”. Michael thought to himself “ Shanghai will be protected alright but I won ' t ”. The emperor had enough of this back and forth , and dismissed him .
While he was on the way to join the ranks of the army he thought to himself what would it be like ? Again as he was deep in thought , the Warrior shouted “ Your room number is 905 , like it or love it , it ' s yours !” and he left without a single sound . Michael walked in then slammed the door and started to cry . He cried and cried until midnight . He peeked through the peephole , but saw nothing , so he slowly walked out of his chamber . A warrior came and said “ where do you think you ' re going ?! Get to sleep , you have a big day tomorrow ”. “ Ok ”, as he closed his door and tried to fall asleep . The next morning while they were washing up , the captain said , “ Drop your buckets !”. Everyone was silent , “ Let ' s go , it ' s our first day in training ”, said the captain . Michael was worried that if they hated him then they might get a little aggressive . He walked in the training room and saw everyone fighting . He took a step back slowly , when all of a sudden a guy came out of nowhere and knocked Michael right in the tooth . The Captain yelled , “ What are you doing you could ' ve killed him !” The men straightened up immediately and they were given guns and gunpowder . The Captain told them to practice shooting the targets . After they were instructed , Michael picked up the gunpowder , loaded the gun and shot the target . Accidentally he overloaded it and shot through the target . The Captain noticed and mumbled , “ we ' re going to need a lot of training ”.
Years later in the 1800 century , Michael Larth became one of the best , most valuable soldiers . This was when the Opium War began . A message was sent to the army to prepare for war . The warriors grabbed their jade armor , gunpowder , bullets and rifles . The Captain announced “ men battle stance !” When 33 of the best warriors reached the border , the British army fired a bomb and 12 of the Warriors couldn ' t run fast enough . So only 21 men were remaining . The Captain took out his gun and shot one of the boats and sunk it deeper than a sewer drain . The British docked one of their boats and 78 Soldiers started to attack . The British Soldiers came out of their boats and managed to slaughter 10 men . With only 11 men left , the warriors started to surrender for prisoners . The Captain looked to his good luck charm , “ Yunqi , yongyuan ”, who gave a massive swing and demolished 32 soldiers . The
