While some of us were sneaking into the kitchen, one of the French men recognized us, and left right away with his packet of poison. While things were still going fine, I seized the opportunity and stood up on the platform in the middle of the hall, “ DON’T TRUST THESE FRENCH PEOPLE. THEY’RE JUST TRYING TO MURDER YOU. YOU HAVE TO TRUST ME.” The Chinese officials were extremely confused, but the French people denied, “That’s ridiculous, why would that happen?” “Then where does this come from,” Daniel said confidently holding out a bag of poison from the kitchen. “I can explain!” Pierre said. Another interrupted, “FINE , WE ADMIT IT BUT WE’LL NEVER SURRENDER.” They took out their guns and pointed to the officials. The Chinese officials shivered in tears, their bodies were covered in sweat. I can hear my heartbeat in my chest, beating faster than I could ever imagine. “GUNS DOWN !” The cops stood by and made sure no one made a move. They cleared the area and caught all the French men involved. Everyone felt relieved. “ I can't believe we succeeded!” one of my colleagues shouted. “Indeed. What would this have been without you Li Zhen?” I had no words to say. I felt moved, successful, relieved, all of it at the same time. A tear brimmed down my face and I decided to give them the biggest hug to show my gratefulness to them. A few days later, the report finally came out. It turned out that Pierre and his colleagues were actually working for a secret agency in France, established to kill. Numerous unsolved murder cases were also completed by them. With all I’ve been through, I now know we should take risks in life. Do new things and challenge yourself, you’ll accomplish so much more than what you’ve expected.
