“Thanks, Bye!” As Jian was cycling to the police station, he passed the other gang’s hideout. “No food from theirs. I don’t want to be eating an old friend of ours.” He muttered under his breath. Finally, he reached the police station, out of breath. “Phew! I think they should make the stall closer to the station, rather than the enemy. Well then, more exercise it is!” Jian was sweating by the time he reached the 3rd floor, panting on the 4th, and he thought “Ai Yah, I’m never going to reach the department!” 20 minutes later a wet, exhausted and crawling Jian arrived at the 10th floor. “Ahh! I still have to go to my office! I’d rather…” Then he realised he was in his office area. “Whoops, that was a close one.” and then he walked into his rather expensive office. Jian sat down on the sofa by the window and relaxed for a while. He was the head of this police station anyways. An hour later, a new recruit, called Yin, came in and sat in front of Jian’s deluxe, bamboo desk. “Uhh, Sir? I-I need to t-talk to you a-about s-something.” Yin stuttered “Officer, spit it out!” Jian ordered “Umm, t-the water tank is out of w-water, s-so the others are a-asking you f-for r-r-replacements.” Yin nervously asked “THERE ARE SOME BEHIND THE TANK! Ai! Does anyone have eyeballs in this dump?” Jian shouted, blasting the ea rdrum of everyone in the department. “Ohh-Kayy, umm, I’ll l-leave t-then.” Yin whimpered, about to cry from nervousness. Then he walked out the door shaking. A deathly silence followed, there wasn’t a single sound, other than Yin’s loud wailing. “YIN! COULD YOU GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER, LIKE A MAN, AND STOP WAILING?” Jian screamed, making Yin wail louder. “Nobody in this stupid department will ever do as I command! Does it take 20 geniuses to guess what I want? All I want is common sense and perfection.” Jian shook his head for a while. “Sir, maybe you are being a bit rough on your employees.” Ren, Jian’s Secretary, advised him, “Try being a tiny bit more sympathetic.” “SYMPATHETIC? If I be sympathetic, it means I’m pathetic like you lot! And I’m NOT pathetic, so no.” “But at least try.” “No, or else you are…” “Don’t fire me for doing the right thing.” “But I am doing the right thing, and that is firing you! Ren, you are fired.” Ren ran outside of Jian’s office crying and screaming, from being fired from her most favorite jobs she’s ever had. “How dare he? HOW DARE HE? He is not going to be organized and I still can’t get those documents with my name on it.” Ren’s voice suddenly went evil-sounding, with an evil grin to go with it. “Just like they incriminated Zhang, I’ll incriminate him.”
