“Very well,” I agreed reluctantly. That night we buried the fallen players under a large oak beneath a clear night sky of stars, the milky way. “Why do people call it the milky way?” I asked, speaking aloud. “Don’t know.” Jay answered. “It looks more like a silver pelt of a cat.” I replied. “Silverpelt sounds like a cool name.” Dove commented. “It looks really peaceful up there compared to down here.” Fern said, “ Hopefully Snow and the others walk among the stars now, safe and sound.” The next morning, our group went off at once, hunting and searching for the finishing point. There were only six of us remaining in the forest and still two weeks left to survive. As we patrolled, we suddenly came to a broad deep river. In the river a floating body drifted towards us. It was Hawk. “Looks like there’s only six now,” Lion said quietly and we carried on. We went on walking through the trees silently, drowning in the memories of our fallen friends. Suddenly, a huge hawk came swooping down from the sky towards us, gathering our weapons, we were prepared to fight it. Unexpectedly, more animals appeared; a fox, and a owl, weirdly they didn’t seem hostile. Then they spoke, “We will not harm you. We are the fallen; Hawk, Fox and Feather. We have descended from the stars to help you.” “We know where the finishing point is,” the Owl, Feather encouraged, “Follow us.” We arrived at a large, magnificent banyan tree, “Climb the tree,” Hawk instructed, “There’s a gong at the top, ring it and you will be free from the forest.” With that they faded, “Farewell,” they’re voices echoed. I climbed up the banyan and rang the gong. Minutes later, troops of imperials appeared and escorted us back to the game’s original starting area. We said our goodbyes to each other as we boarded our separate trains to the various towns. That night, I recalled the games and the time I’ve spent with my allies, no one knows what’s happened to Maple, we only know she’s a goner. Looking up to the starry night sky and I saw five stars shining exceptionally bright in sky, the fallen have returned to the stars and will continue to look down on us forever, watching us until we join them in Silverpelt.
