‘When we were walking back, I overheard a few people talking about some time-travel machine near here. They were wondering if we were going to use it.’ explained Avery. Alisha was hesitant. She asked, ‘why didn’t Pan Yuliang tell us about it?’ Avery replied, ‘I doubt that she knows about it.’ Alisha exclaimed, ‘we can’t tell her! One change in history could change our whole world. We have to find it without her knowing!’ Agnes sighed, ‘let’s find that machine and go home!’ Alisha stared at her in confusion, ‘I thought you just said that you wanted to stay in this place for longer.’ Agnes ignored her and turned away. Alisha tapped Agnes on the shoulder and said, ‘I’m sorry for shouting at you.’ Agnes glared at Alisha and continued ignoring her. Alisha’s face turned red. It was actually Agnes’s fault. If she weren’t so stupid all the time, none of this would have happened, she thought. She sighed, ‘Agnes, stop being so naive!’ Agnes was extremely offended at this, ‘just because I’m not the world’s smartest girl doesn’t mean I’m a retard!’ Alisha was about to holler something back but stopped herself. There’s no use arguing with a useless crimp, she fumed. Although they strongly hated each other, Agnes and Alisha decided to remain civil for the time being. The girls searched every inch of the house for the time-travel machine, but couldn’t find it anywhere. Suddenly, Alisha spotted a mysterious looking bracelet. She thought that it would have to do with time-travel machine, and snuck it in her pocket without anyone noticing. Suddenly, they heard footsteps. Panicking, they tried to put everything back where it was but didn’t have enough time. Everything in drawers, closets, and shelves fell. Pan Yuliang walked in to see that mess. She screamed, ‘WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY HOUSE?!’ Agnes tried to explain, ‘we’re really sorry! It’s just that we need to find a time-travel machine, and Avery heard someone say that there’s one in your house -’
