“What is your name?” I asked, I felt I should know how to address this mysterious girl.
“Rayna.” She whispered. She was still quiet but much less fear lay in her eyes.
“We mustn’t waste any time, we must hurry to find the key to the mystery.” She hastily said this as she grabbed my
wrist –once again- and fled through two battered down doors. Rayna then led me into a room and switched on
the light. This room was completely empty except for a painting of a key. A key? No, it was too easy. This couldn’t
be it. Don’t disappoint yourself again I told myself.
“So, what’s with the painting?” I asked inquisitively.
“Well it’s the map to the mystery.” Rayna answered with a sigh. She pulled a pocketknife out of her back pocket and
plunged it into the middle of the painting. Without hesitation, she dragged her knife down with such a force and
ripped the painting open only to reveal an obscure compartment behind. Nothing lay behind aside from a tightly
strapped together bundle of papers. Rayna reached in and grabbed it. She ruptured the rubber band holding it
together and handed me the pile.
“I am here to help you, not do it for you” I nodded my head as I observed the papers. They were all coated in dust, I
swept it off and started reading through. The first twenty or so pages were irrelevant information, but, the more I
got into the pile, the more interesting and useful the information was. One piece was particularly good.
Look high and low
Look side to side
For where the wind blows
Is where the mystery abides
No creature shall stop you
But the game of minds itself
So hurry up searching
For this mystery is precious, only one of itself.
This specific piece gave me motivation, reason, and definitely helped me with my search for after that I set off, I
searched high and low through the city to find the answer. The key . Nothing was found for the next 2 days, but I
