Old Shanghai Cheung Chuk Shan College, Yeung, Ho Ting Jessica - 13 O nce upon a time, Vanessa who lived in England went to Old Shanghai for vacation. She arrived at the pier and paid for the ticket. After a while, she boarded a huge and magnificent ship. She put her luggage under the chair and fell asleep. An hour later, she woke up but there was still a long way to go. She checked the ticket and realized she needed to stay on the ship for three days. Therefore, she decided to join the party on the ship that night. At about 7:00pm, Vanessa went to the dinning hall. The party had already started. There are lots of people who wore elegant clothes who were dancing around. Although the hall was full of people, Vanessa felt very lonely. No one danced with Vanessa; she just walked around and ate some food. Suddenly a young man appeared, he chatted to Vanessa. They even started to dance together! After the party, they went back to their rooms separately. On the way, Vanessa felt really happy: she was in love. However, the next day Vanessa couldn’t find the man again. When Vanessa arrived in Old Shanghai, she put her luggage in the room, and visited a traditional restaurant. She ordered a lot of tasty dishes, including Shanghai noodles with beef and Shanghai style dim sum, she a wonderful meal. After that, Vanessa looked around to pay the bill, she found the young man who danced with her on the ship. She walked towards him and said; “I thought you’re not in Shanghai because I can’t see you on the pier.” The young man looked up and smiled, then said: “Well I’m here. I am Jeff. I had a great time with you that night; do you want to visit Shanghai? We can join a walking tour together. “Yes please” Vanessa replied. At last they fell in love with each other and enjoyed their Shanghai adventure.
