In the following morning, the soldiers came to the warehouse to throw corpses away. 20 people carried around 5 stretchers and lift up all corpses in the warehouse and put corpses to a wooden wagon. They carried corpses by using wagon. In the wagon, James and Kevin thought it is disgusting because they were staying with corpses. The wagon was made of wood, so it had big gaps between each bars. James and Kevin had to close their eyes because wagon is surrounded by 20 soldiers. They might found out they were still alive. However, they also had to look at outside. Otherwise, they couldn’t find the direction to leave the country or the city or wherever they are. Also, they didn’t know when and how are they going to throw the corpses away from the wagon. When Kevin opened his eyes, the closest soldier saw it, and Kevin also realized that the soldier saw him with his opened eyes quickly. He was too startled that he doesn’t know how to react, so that he just closed his eyes as quick as possible, but it was too late. “Stop the wagon” the soldier who saw Kevin opened his eyes shouted. The wagon was stopped and the door was opened. Kevin tried his best to act like a dead person, but soldiers were checking violently. “Ouch!” Kevin made some sound because he felt too hurt. Soldiers arrested Kevin again. Not only Kevin, but also James. Kevin didn’t know why James was arrested. “Why are you being arrested?” Kevin whispered to James, while they were going to palace. Kevin whispered to James. “Soldiers were double checking other corpses too.” James answered. Kevin felt sorry to James. They were being sent to judge. After they have arrived, one soldier went close to the judge and whispered to judge everything that happened. Judge sent Kevin and James to emperor because he thought it is big problem, so it was impossible to be judged by judge. Emperor met James and Kevin. The solder who told the situation to judge goes to emperor and tells him the situation. “Welcome back two traitors. The biggest punishment is waiting for you guys. Do you have anything to say before you get punishment?” Emperor talked to them after listened to the situation. Both Kevin and James were not saying anything. “Are you ready for the punishment?”Emperor asked to Kevin and James. There was no answers again. “Alright, I will count silent as yes. Bring the sharpest scaffold.”Emperor said. Four soldiers brought a scaffold. It was really huge. James and Kevin were scared. “Do you have any words to say before you die?”Emperor teased them. “Kill the old man first.” Emperor ordered to soldiers. They brought James to scaffold. James’s neck was tied under the scaffold. If they cut off the rope that was connected with huge knife, the knife would fall down and kill James. Soldier was ready for cutting off the rope. “Cut the rope now.”Emperor said. The soldier cut the rope with a knife. The soldier had to rob few times. Once, twice, BANG! The huge knife went through James’s neck. Soldiers discarded the real corpse of James. Kevin was screaming frantically and sobbing. “Next one.”Emperor said. The soldiers finished preparing scaffold and brought Kevin to the scaffold. Kevin was really scared because they killed James just now in front of Kevin. It was first time for Kevin to see somebody is dying. Kevin had started sobbing since James went to scaffold. He was not saying anything, but he was staring at Emperor. He heard sounds of robbing the rope. Once....Twice....Kevin closed his eyes and prepared to be dead. He could not hear any robbing sound and he couldn’t feel anything else. He thought it was the feeling of death. He opened his eyes to see what was going on. He could see his room now. It was his house. Also, he wasn’t dead. It was good news, but there was bad news, too. “Knock, knock. Kevin, grandpa passed away couple of minutes ago. Your uncle phoned me just now. We are heading to the funeral. Get ready for it.” His mother said. It was a disaster. He was utterly shocked. It never occurred to him that death could happen to any of his family members. Kevin felt paralyzed because he was very close to grandpa. Kevin’s family was also shocked by his grandpa’s death because he was very healthy before he passed away. Kevin felt guilty because in his nightmare, James passed away too. He felt it was all his fault and stayed depressed. Kevin started writing his homework. He didn’t even look up any formation from the internet. He was merely recalling memories from his nightmare. He got an A* for his project after he went back to school.
