Sun Wukong waited a second. He dodged, his agile movement quickly missing the missile of light
thrown at him. Furious, the demon raised her wand again and pushed it at him, pounding her feet toward
him one step at a time until his back was to the wall.
“You have ruined my plans, and now I will ruin you ,” she whispered menacingly.
Alas, it was her innermost desire for revenge that unveiled when she paused. She waited for a
reaction, but was unsatisfied at the drag of solemn silence. When she looked at Sun Wukong, she was
surprised to see a look of not fear or even hatred, but a sort of sorrowness.
“What?” Baigujing demanded, her voice raising a notch. “What?”
“Who did this to you?” He asked her quietly, seemingly almost unaware of the fact that she had
the full power to kill him. “Who ruined you?”
