“Yes, you’re right! The rest of the council absolutely loved your ideas. None of them wanted to just sit there and watch their beloved home just fall apart.” Dad replied, grinning from ear to ear. “I can’t believe it, now our home is saved!” I screamed and started galloping around the living room. “Hey, not so fast! We’ve only made the prototype so far, it’s not the time to celebrate… yet. We still have to make the real thing.” Dad reminded me. “Ah yes. This is when the real fun comes in.” I shouted as I jumped into Dad’s arms with a mischievous grin. * * * Before I knew it, a few months had gone past and we had not only passed the law of no new production of plastic bags, we had also installed at least five Air-Catchers in every single city in the GBA! The day the law was passed, the entire GBA council and all the world leaders got together for a big meeting right here in Zhuhai. The second the council announced that the GBA’S pollution had decreased by nearly 50% in a few months, their faces all went completely white as if they were scared to believe the truth. It was so hilarious! Dad and I still mimic and laugh about their expressions every night. Now I finally understand what people mean when they say small actions can make a big difference. 15 years later… I studied environmental protection at University. After graduating, I devoted my life to giving speeches around the world about environmental protection and coming up with new ideas on protecting the Earth. I am so proud to see The Air Catcher is now being used all over the world. My dad and I didn’t just save the entire GBA, but also led the way to a “Whole New World”. Oh, time really does fly. That’s my story. The story of Ava- the girl who saved the world.
