They followed the woman’s instructions and went to the ticket booth. They asked for two tickets to Zhaoqing and then said, “Do we have to pay with the Alipay app?” The lady said, “You don’t have to but you can if you want to. Which class seats would you want?” Kimmy and Vidia were both confused because they didn’t know what to choose. The lady explained to them, “There are second class seats which cost 140 RMB, first-class seats which cost 183 RMB and business class seats which cost 330 RMB. It’s your choice.” They still had no clue, so they just picked the cheapest one. “We would like two tickets to Zhaoqing, second class seats please,” said Vidia. The lady said, “No problem! Your total will be 280 RMB please!” They took out their wallet and started counting the money. As they were counting, the lady was shocked, seeing how old their money was. She instantly asked if she could see their money. Of course, Kimmy and Vidia said yes and gave the money to the lady and started whispering to each other about how weirdly people were acting. Finally, the lady opened her mouth and asked, “Where did you get these? Where?” They didn’t know what to say so they just said, “We collect money and use them for gifts and other things!” The lady was shocked by the fact that these two young children had some of the oldest renminbi she had ever seen. The lady was shaking and gave the change and ticket to them. Vidia took out one of her own coins and compared it to the change. She saw the differences and realized why the lady was so amazed. There was a really big difference because the coins they had were opaque and had numbers on it but the change that the lady gave back was transparent with a chip in it. The lady told them that the coin was a ¥20 coin. They kept the ¥20 coin safely in their bag and continued with their journey. They continue walking, following the signs that says Zhaoqing. When they arrived at the train station, Vidia realises that even though if they can find their way back to Zhaoqing, doesn’t mean that they can go back to the past, so she searched for clues on the map and thought about what they have missed. But nothing. They found nothing, until Kimmy’s necklace dropped on the floor. Vidia picked it up and stared at the necklace, trying to find something, and then Vidia noticed that both their necklaces have two circled shaped holes in the back. She thought, this must be it, I just have to find the missing piece then she thought of all the possibilities, like a clue to the key that they need on the map or what they have touched before touching the necklace and so on but she just doesn't understand what the missing key is. Vidia decides to not tell Kimmy and just pretend that nothing happen since she thinks that Kimmy’s a bit ignorant. Just when the train arrives, Kimmy said, “I can’t wait to go back home! Let’s go Vidia!” They went on the train and after they have found their seats, Kimmy sat down and went to sleep while Vidia gave in the train tickets and continue thinking what she can do and where she can get the missing piece. She kept repeating the possibilities and finally decided to tell Kimmy because she thought that maybe Kimmy would think of something. “Kimmy, wake up! Wake up! We might not be able to get back home.” whispered Vidia. Kimmy instantly woke up and said, “What do you mean? We are going back to Zhaoqing right now.” “No! I meant that we might not be able to go back to the past!” shouted Vidia. People stared at them and started whispering but they didn’t care. “So do you have any idea what the missing piece is, Kimmy?” said Vidia. “No, no, I don't know. What are we going to do? Vidia, does that mean that we are never going to be able to go back?” said Kimmy in a terrified voice. At that moment, Vidia thought about why she wanted Kimmy involved in this, why she woke her up. They got off the train and Kimmy pulled out an old coin from her bag and stared at it and said, “these are the last two coins I have from the past and I am never going to lose it.” with tears in her eyes, she put the coins back into the bag and wiped her tears. Suddenly Vidia shouted, “Kimmy! Give me those two coins, NOW KIMMY! NOW!” Kimmy refused to give the two coins but Vidia shouted again, “Kimmy! This might be the key back to the past!” Kimmy immediately took out the two coins and said, “Please work, please!” They both inserted the coin into the two holes at the same time and within a few seconds, they have found themselves in their house. They were so glad and released that the future is way better than now.
