The President of the G.B.A.

The car’s doors opened; in front of me was the prodigious entrance door of the supreme building in GBA; the
heart of the country!
“Woo! The inspiring President Anindita has arrived! The ruler of GBA, the finder of the country; Anindita is
incoming!”
The populace was cheering and clapping! My dream had finally come true; I was the president of the new
‘country’!
“Wake up!” Suddenly there was a loud, ear piercing sound!
“Stop!”
My eyes opened in horror; it was my alarm ringing to its loudest sound. It was all a hallucination; I could never
by the president of that auspicious place.
“I’d better come back to the real world, out of my fantasy dreams and get equipped for another significant day of
my enormous life,” I self-pepped!
As I was getting myself cleaned and presentable, I noticed that my newspaper had already arrived. As I was
reading it with my full attention, I noticed that there was something inscribed in bold at the corner of paper! It
said that if someone was fascinated and interested in giving a try for becoming the president of GBA, they could
stopover at the central office in China with his/her discourse to present to the officers. Then they would be then
voted on and the best person would be made the president of the tremendous and splendid GBA!
This was my chance to show the world how capable I was! I’d better seize the opportunity and hit a sixer! Wait!
But how am I going to do that! Oh, what a great idea just popped into my mind; Ranya is very good politician,
better consult her!
“Hey Ranya, I was thinking of grabbing the opportunity to become the president of GBA. Can you help me
with the speech and all other rules and can you brush me up so that I will be selected!” I said in an exited but
curious voice trying to sound pleasing.
“Ya sure! I would suggest you to first jot down all the bullet points about how you want your country to look
like. Then you write how you will do that and other extra points you want to add. Finally make a script using
the points and you will have to memorise them! Talking about body language and posture, you have always been
great at it!”
“Thanks! You are a great politician and a very accommodating friend!” Tuing! My phone dropped with a noise
coming from the spring of my old, wrecked bed with white bedspread! I couldn’t waste another precious second
of my time! I ran to get my computer and started jotting all the points which popped into my mind every
second! I now already had 16 great points and additional key terms, ready to start with my speech.
I was finally equipped for the moment of my life for which I had been longing for! The moment for which I was
born had arrived! I was standing in front of the big metallic doors of the huge office building! I checked my
clothes, feeling nervous. As I walked in, I felt panic strike my body and I was having butterflies in my stomach! I
reached the front of the door named the officer’s room. I knocked on the wooden door with my long, polished
and perfectly manicured nails and fingers! A deep but calming voice said, “Come in!”
I was starting to feel comfortable and less panicked. I walked in and stood in front of the officers ,feeling more
relaxed. I started my address with a deep breath and a big smile on my face.
“Wind-mills and plants on top of every building, beautiful temples, and solar panels will be appreciated
everywhere! There will be no crime and colossal skyscrapers all around! Woman will be highly respected, welleducated
and will also be employed in all types of occupations. The realm will have a breath-taking networkconnection
of metros and busses. All roads will be equipped with cycles like China’s which will cost 2RMB per
km. Trade will flourish within the nation! These are some of my strategies which I am going to use as a key to
make GBA the most gorgeous place amongst all Asian countries! So I believe that it would be a great and sincere
idea to give me the role of president; Anindita Tripathi, the president of GBA, so to make it a successful and
beautiful nation with remarkable and thriving economy and tourism. With this I would like to end my speech.”
I bowed with grace and left the room at his command letting him to decide the future!
After hours of discussion and dispute between the officers, the door opened, calling all the contestants in. We all
