Me and my family went out and wrote some petitions to help build a typhoon shelter. The mayor even declared that everyone has to build or their homes could be destroyed by the typhoon. We found a suitable place to build and everyone got to work. The common phrases that I would hear were “where is the hammer?” or more like “ I need the plank!” or “I’m tired can I take a break?” All I could say was “Do you want your life to end? Or your house could be destroyed by the strong winds!” Believe it or not, my friends actually came to help! Josh, Zack, VICTOR! He’s the very best, Victor also just moved here! I instantly rushed over to him and hugged him “Victor! Why?” He replied with a simple, “You’re here so I decided to help a best friend of mine” “Good old Victor I knew you would come here!” Everybody was sweating hammering and the kids (including me) were passing the materials to the adults. We would cheer and shout and also bring them refreshments to drink on. A few hours later the wall was done and the mayor announced, “Good job you may go home”. The wall held it was scary but in the end, it did stand up. I and my family were huddled up in my room, scared and petrified. We were expecting a huge crack but we waited and there was no sound except for… SHATTER!! The window of the main living room broke and we were relieved to find out that it wasn’t the wall that we built. The pieces of glass were spread all around the room like an infestation of spiders but we were glad nothing was damaged or broken. “It’s time to go to sleep, dear, a day like this deserves a good night's rest.” Mom said to me, relieved “Thanks, mother” I lay down onto my pillow and closed my eyes. The raindrops outside alarmed me for no reason at all and the sound of cars driving made me panic but I knew the wall would keep us safe. The next day I woke up and saw rocks and broken poles outside… I was really confused at this state…
