“We don’t have them. We forgot that we need them to travel. What is the fastest way to get one? Our new jobs start in two days.” I said. “Well you can fill in forms A65_J62 and N91-1Y3, and then go to the ID area. You will just have to wait for 4 hours while they make you your IDs. It may take longer as many people don’t have their IDs yet.” said the lady as she handed us the forms. We walked over to the ID area. We spent the next 5 hours chatting and watching videos on our phones while waiting for our IDs. After what seemed like forever, they called our names and handed us our GBA IDs. I won’t bore you with the details of all of it. We finally got through immigration and got a taxi to our new apartment. We walked in, dropped our stuff, and as it was already 20:00 went out for dinner. When we finished ordering and the waiter had left I said, “Let’s make a promise. To have a celebration dinner on this day every year to commemorate our friendship.” Brooke gave me a happy look and replied, “I promise.” 1 Year Later I stood up from my seat at the table. I looked at Brooke and said, “I would like to make a toast. Brooke, you’re an amazing friend. This year has been amazing and it’s all because of you. I know you don’t like to admit it but the entire move was because of you and I am so thankful for it. I look forward to another great year of adventures with you. Cheers!”
