tree to the fishing boat. She threw her backpack into the boat, hopped in and went into the small cabin, where the wheel was. There was a small carpet on the floor, under it was where her dad kept the keys for the engine. Rachel remembered everything about the boat because when she was little she would always go fishing with her dad. Rachel started the engine and drove a few circles to get the hang of driving a boat then she started to turn towards the direction of Tsing Yi to do a half-circle to get to Shenzhen. She took the little map out of her bag to see how to get to Shenzhen again. For the next twenty minutes, she kept looking at the map then looking back at the ocean to try and understand what little island she was next to. Rachel started drawing a red line through the ocean so that she could see where she was and if she was making any progress. After half an hour there was a tiny little island in front of her and she had to make a right turn, the tiny little island was Ma Wan. Then she saw the Tsing Ma Bridge and that’s when she lost a little hope because she realized she didn't get very far, she thought she was really close to Shenzhen. But then she remembered that in just two hours she would see her parents, who she hasn’t seen in seven years. So she stayed positive. After an hour she already passed Hong Kong Gold Coast and she turned the last turn which means she would soon be able to see the Shenzhen Bay Bridge and Uncle Jung lives on Shenzhen Bay. Another half an hour passed and she still couldn't see the bridge, did she take a wrong turn? But right then she saw it, the long bridge was far away but she could see it. She knew that when she saw the bridge she would need to turn left until she bumps into land. Rachel started to make the left turn and in ten minutes she would start to walk to Uncle Jung’s house which was right on the bay. She was a little nervous. When she got a little closer to the bay she saw that no one was on the bay except three people having a picnic then she started to feel hungry she hadn’t packed any breakfast. When she got really close to the bay she saw the three people clearer it was her mom, dad, and Uncle Jung, her mouth was agape. “Holy cow,” she said. She waited for a few seconds until she could jump out of the boat to hug her parents. Her parents stood up in awe, Rachel hopped out of the boat and sprinted towards them. She jumped into her parents’ arms hugging them, they all started to cry. Rachel’s mom sobbed, “Rachel we knew we would meet again,” “We missed you so much,” her dad said. Rachel was speechless she could barely talk, she stepped back so that they were face to face “I... how… where” she paused. “I missed you more,” she said wiping her tears. She walked towards Uncle Jung “Thank you,” she said hugging him “Um, no problem?” he said, “What are you thanking me for?” “For everything,” said Rachel. She smiled to herself. Thanks to a simple fishing boat, she was reunited with her parents.
