Four Friends

Once upon a time there were four very good friends. Fai, Lei, Zhang and Lee. Fai was very good
at Math. He wanted to be a businessman. He thought working at a computer was cool. Lei normally didn’t
study. He was always in the streets playing with his other friends. Zhang was also not very good, but he
would study. He studied twice as much as Fai. Lee studied almost 24 hours a day. He always studied and was
top of the class. His nickname was “God of Grades”.
When they heard they were in the same team for badminton, they were delighted! Lee continued
being a nerd. Fai was always getting full marks on Math, but Lei and Zhang were still failing.
A decade later, Lee was in Hong Kong University. He was also still pretty good at the subjects. Fai
was the head of the electronic company Huawei. Zhang was working at a McDonald’s and earning nearly
nothing. But Lei was on the streets, begging for money, covered in old clothes.
One day, Fai was going the long way to work because he got up early and saw a homeless person.
He decided to give him some cash. When he saw his face, he immediately knew it was Lei. The beggar had
the same blue eyes, big nose and small mouth. They talked and Fai invited Lei to work for him. Lei knew
he could earn money, so he agreed.
Three years later, Fai and Lei were going for some McDonald’s food. They asked for a burger meal
and a nugget meal. They were taking the food when they both shouted “Zhang!” The three old friends
talked for hours. Then, Fai invited Zhang to come and work for him.
Several years passed. The three friends going on a tour to Hong Kong University. They were
walking until a student called “Fai, Lei, Zhang!” They turned and realized it was Lee. They hugged and Fei
made the joke, “If you ever stop studying, you stop others from breaking your record.”
They laughed and Lee later became the Vice-Chairman of Huawei. He invented the first 5G
phone. They finally reunited after two decades, and all grew great mustaches.
