In and Out as Quick as a Flash

I felt the warm and soft blanket touch my skin as I started to enjoy this mid-term break. Then I thought.
Am I ever going to finish the project? “Candy! Were going!” My mom said. I slumped downstairs to the
doorstep and kissed my parents goodbye.
Then the doorbell rang.
“Hi Candy! Caitlyn should be here any minute now, she said she will catch up to me, but obviously she
didn’t.” Emily said. “I’m...here…!” A voice said from behind. I looked and saw Caitlyn huffing and puffing.
“Hey!” I said smirking. Caitlyn just ignored me and we all went in my room. “Make sure you don’t mess-
-------” But before Christine can finish her sentence the doorbell rang a second time. This time I let
her get the door and went downstairs. Christine opened the door to see a women with blonde long wavy
hair and emerald eyes in plain jeans and a T-shirt. “Hi Aunt Kelly!” I said before Christine could say
anything about my friends. “Hello sweety! I didn’t see you in a long time!” My aunt said sweetly. I smiled at
my aunt and let her in.
I told her about the project I have for school and asked if we can fly to at least one of these places. Of
course, my Aunt gave another lame excuse for not flying somewhere else, I haven’t worked out why
though.
We split up to find a quiet spot in the park. I saw an open area with a single bench. I have never been in
this part of the park before. I went there. Then, I heard a small rustle in the front. It’s just my imagination. I
thought. Then I slowly walked to the bench. Rustle rustle. I started moving back, then I saw something, no.
Someone. Then it disappeared. I could have sweared I saw it. I went to my friends and we started our
project. Then I felt someone touch me, to warm to be Emily’s or Caitlyn’s. Then everything disappeared.
We were on the ground. I looked around, no we were in Macau! But how? Then I saw Emily already up.
She didn’t seem surprised, in fact it looked like she was expecting this. Suddenly, I realized that I desperately
wanted to vomit. Emily told me what happened. “What!!!!!!!!” I couldn’t believe what she said. “We
teleported!!!???” Emily immediately calmed me down, and I started to calm down myself. I looked around
to make sure this wasn’t a silly joke.
Then suddenly… A boy appeared right in front of me out of nowhere! “Hi! My name is Rex, I
teleported you here, and if you want we could go back. But I overheard you talking about not being able to
go anywhere for your school project, so I thought I’d help out.” I was stunned. I mean, I felt that someone
was watching us, but I didn’t think they'd watch so closely.
“Sure! We could stay around, and also there are some other places we would like to go too if you don’t
mind.” Caitlyn said flirting. Rex just grinned, and well I rolled my eyes. We visited the tallest tower in
Macau, and we went skywalking.
“All right! I think it’s time to go somewhere else, like GuangZhou.” I spoke. Rex nodded. We all held
hands and in a flash we were in GuangZhou, this time I managed to stop myself from vomiting. We visited
the opera house there. “Guys, I think we have a little tiny weenie problem.” Emily called on the sidewalk. I
didn’t know what it was so I told everybody to gather around Emily. “We may be running out of time
before Candy’s aunt will come look for us.” I froze, I checked the time, it was 3:47pm. I nodded to Rex.
He got the hint and we were off.
“Hey aunt Kelly! I was wondering if I could stay in the park for the project for a little longer, please!” I
said. My aunt was hesitant at first, but said “Ok, but only until 6:00, I will go back first to cook dinner and
fetch you later ok?” I nodded eagerly.
We went to HuiZhou and visited a lake, then we went to ZhuHai and went to a theme park! “In the
pace were going, we wont be able to finish the next 6 cities!” Emily warned us. “Well then, we better
quicken our pace! What time Emily?” I said urgently. “4:35” She said. “We are taking 24 minutes for each
city. At this rate it would take us 2 hours and 24 min.” I nodded and told Rex “Let’s go.”
We went to ZhongShan and took a quick stroll around the city that was named after a person.
Then, we went to Jiangmen and ZhaoQing and also took a quick stroll around the city.
