Follow Me to What You Seek Victoria Shanghai Academy, Sze, Kristen - 9 The cool spring breeze whipped Lisa’s hair around. She stared out at the emerald leaves on the towering trees, thinking. Lost in another world, she listened to the soft pitter-patter of rain falling into the lake, the cheerful chirping of the birds, the rustling of leaves in the breeze… SMACK! Something big and white flew into her face, snapping her out of her thoughts. Lisa picked it up. It was a tapestry! Unrolling it, she saw that there were words stitched on it: Follow me to what you seek, even though times may be bleak. Lisa attended a fashion school, and this was her final year at the academy. She needed to design a set of special clothes in order to graduate, but she desperately needed inspiration. She was daydreaming in the garden when this tapestry appeared out of nowhere… Suddenly, the tapestry glowed as bright as the sun. Shocked, Lisa dropped it on the ground. The tapestry expanded itself, showing a map of places she had never been. Staring in shock, she stumbled around and fell inside of the tapestry. She felt herself spinning around. Opening her eyes, she saw words flying around her: This A Is Mapestry Will What You Seek To It You Lead Lisa crashed into a chair and looked around. Stunned, Lisa’s mind went blank as she tried to contemplate where she was. She looked up. A big sign read: Chimelong Zoo Panda Cafe! So that’s where I am! As she watched the pandas eating bamboo, she heard a clatter. A drink was placed on her table. “Hey! I didn’t order anything!” But the waiter never came back. “Well…” She felt a piece of paper wrapped around the cup. Picking it off, she read the words: Follow me to what you seek, even though times may be bleak. As if a light bulb had suddenly gone off in her head, Lisa got the first idea for her design. Feeling pleased about her progress, she saw the mapestry glowing again. Lisa knew what to do. She willingly jumped in, trying to guess what her next destination would be. Words swirled around her again: Follow Me To What You Seek... This time, Lisa floated down to the ground. She looked around and found herself at the entrance to Canton Tower (she recognised it from TV shows before). As she saw the ferris wheel at the top of the tower, a wave of determination came over her and without a second thought, she started climbing the world’s longest spiral tower. Lisa absolutely LOVED ferris wheels.
