off people. After that, I shut off my phone and went out to help my mother. Dinner was ready, it was a bowl of rice, a tiny bit of fish and steamed egg. “Remember darling, we have to leave some food left for father. He’s coming home late tonight. And today, we are considered lucky to have a bit of fish and egg, maybe we should try to save some for tomorrow, alright?” My mother said. I nodded and began to eat, it bugged me that I had to save some food. I told my mother about the text I sent. “Vickie, darling. I am proud of you, but do you really think he is going to do anything?” Mother asked. I nodded and my mother smiled and pat my shoulder. “Ok then, I believe in you. Now, go back to eating dinner alright.” Mother claimed. I began to feel a bit full so I stopped eating and told my mother to save the rest. I sat on my bed again and checked my phone. My eyes widened in amazement, Avery replied to me, saying that my message was passed on all the way to the government! He was going to do something about it! Tomorrow, he would get the less well-off people better jobs and some cash. I screamed in excitement and told my mom the great news. She was super contented, she hugged me super tight. Next morning, my father got really excited. He was no longer going to be a construction worker but will actually be working in a bank. We were also given some money! We managed to rent a bigger flat and I can finally get my own shoes and clothes! We’re waiting to earn a bit more cash so I might be able go back to school. I am super grateful that people are now willing to help the less well-off and help each other. It makes me feel super ecstatic and I hope that we continue helping others in the coming future.
