“Daddy, the lights are so pretty!” young Lily clapped her hands excitedly. “It is powered from those solar panels, it absorbs the sun’s energy to generate power. We must be more eco-friendly to save the earth from dying!” In a blink of an eye, everything faded. Lily’s eyes darted everywhere. She stumbled. “What...what’s happening?” The scene melted and became the A-ma temple in Macau. “Dad, why did you bring me here? It’s so boring!” Young Lily crossed her arms. “This is the oldest Chinese temple in Macau, and Macau is named after it!” Dad explained. Young Lily’s eyes shone. “Could you tell me the story? Pretty please!” she begged. “It started when the Portuguese landed on Macau and asked locals what was the name of the land. The locals thought they were asking for the name of the temple and answered Ma Ge. Slowly, it transformed into Macau. Interesting, right?” The scenery changed again. “Dad, what are these?” “They are terracotta soldiers, Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of ancient China, built them to protect him when he would be dead.” The scene flickered and Lily immediately turned around. What was going on? There were many people crowded in one room and Lily saw her idol, Sun Zhongshan. What was he doing here? She spotted another familiar face. There was her dad when he was young, standing right next to him! “Great-Grandfather, is there any way I can help?” her dad said to Sun Zhongshan concernedly. She almost screamed out loud. Her dad just called the man who started the Republic of China ‘Greatgrandfather’! The truth slowly dawned on her. She was the descendant of Sun Zhongshan! She gasped. Everything went black. “Miss! Are you alright?” A silhouette lent a helping hand. She flinched and stood up. “What do you want?” she threatened. “Wait! You’re the dream technology’s CEO!” Lily realized. “You recognize me?” “I’m from the go-green company. Sorry I was so rude. But, didn’t the train crash?” “Well, you are at the hospital for some reason.” Lily looked around. “Oh, I didn’t notice that,” she replied, embarrassed. “But why are you here?” “You saved my mom from the train.” “I saved her?” “To repay you, how about going to the Greater Bay Area to discover and make new and cleaner sources of energy? Maybe the dream technology’s and the go-green should be partners? Don’t worry, I will speak to your boss.” And that’s how Lily found herself in the high-speed rail again, ready for an exciting and new adventure. “I need to find out the truth. And I will find out the truth” she muttered. Then she smiled and shouted: “World, here I come!”
