Everyday, they would go on walks to visit the mermaids. Sometimes they didn’t come and sometimes they told more tales of their treasures. Then, one day, the mermaid Chloe and her mom first knew, Oceana came and told them that they had the ability to speak underwater now. They were genuinely thrilled. Mom squealed like a silly little girl, “I’ve wanted to be with mermaids or be a mermaid myself. My dreams are finally coming true.” Chloe saw pirates leaving their treasure saviour. They grinned and dug up the sand. They found a big, gold treasure chest. Chloe and her mom exchanged glances and heaved it up on the ground. It was really dusty with all that sand. Chloe and her mom sang a secret song that Oceana taught them. Mermaids would come up if we sang it. Mom sang really off key. Oceana and some other mermaids came up and they gave them the chest, “Here is your treasure.” They replied in chorus, “Thank you so much!” Chloe smiled. They thanked the, once again and dived deep down to the sea again. After that, we lived happily together without anymore arguments because of the great adventure of the Greater Bay Area.
