Chapter 1
Joseph is a boy studying in Hong Kong Super Secondary School. He had a small head, big ears and
eyes, and short hair, but tall. However, he was an outstanding pupil in his class and always get high marks. In
addition,he also had a load of awards and he is kind and brave, so everybody likes him.
One day in June when he was 16,when he was in his classroom in his secondary school,the teacher
is giving out the students’ report card. His heart was beating quickly. Suddenly, the teacher proudly called
out, “ Joseph, please come here! ” This is totally different from what he thought. The teacher merrily shook
his hand and said,“ Congrats, Jo! You’ve got excellent grades and you are going to a military school in
Guangzhou, Greater Bay Area! ”Joseph shockly looked at his paper, then smiled to the teacher. He can’t
wait to go there!
Chapter 2
A month passed by. In a bright summer morning in July, Joseph was packing his suitcase. He was
eager to go there. He’s too excited so he woke up at three in the morning!
When he was busy packing, his parents opened his door. His mom told him he’s going to the
military school by ship. She also handed him his ticket and a mini aid box.
It turned eight. Joseph ate his breakfast, grabbed his things and said goodbye to his parents. His
journey to the school began.
Joseph arrived at the ferry pier. It was full of people. After half an hour, his ship arrived there and
he went on board at last. No one knew that danger was coming.
After an hour on board, he felt a bit sea sick. Suddenly, there was a loud “BOOM!”. The ship had
struck a massive coral reef. Everybody screamed and yellled but Joseph was calm. He called out, “ Do not
panic! ” He and four other passengers told everybody to jump in the lifeboats. He led them and sat at the
lifeboat at the very front.
They arrived at the ferry pier in Guangzhou at four in the afternoon. Th were police officers there
to check if anybody died. Thanks to Joseph, nobody did. One of the police officers said to Joseph, “I
appreciate that you saved their lives. ” He shook his hand. Joseph was proud of himself.
Chapter 3
He arrived at the school at six. The school smelled nice because of the climbing plants on the gate
and it was built 3 years ago. There were also some science labs built by the government to explore science.
He saw an officer standing outside the school gate. He had a short beard and he was bold. When he saw
Joseph,he asked, “Are you Joseph Wong? Welcome to Guangzhou Second Stated Military School! ” The
officer introduced the schoot to him.
The officer gave him his dormitory card. It had his dormitory and room number on it. He also gave him
a school map. He told him to buy his school equipment on the second floor now. After that, he bought his
equipment and had dinner at the school hall.
Things were not very good. Five months later, aliens from Mars were attacking Earth. They were
so powerful and they took three Chinese cities in just four days. They were heading to Guangzhou and
were just outside the school.
He borrowed a machine gun from the officers. They lent him one and he fought on the balcony in
his dormitory. His friends saw him and they did the same too. They used the fighting skills they have learnt
and fought bravely. Soon, the aliens lost the war and signed a treaty with the government. They agreed to
give back the cities and leave from Earth.The officer knew this was caused by Joseph and gave a big dinner
to him. He was glad.
Chapter 4
Bad things became even worse. There were bad people living near the school and disagreed with
the government. They fought with the aliens last time and some were shot by Joseph. They became angrier
and soon bombed a lab near the school. Then, they decided to bomb the school too.
Joseph knew this. He told the officers and they planned an attack. However, they have to make
spies to get enough information from the “ phenomenons ”. So they planned to train spies in the school.
