ash. Jane scooped it up and put it in her bag then she saw a dragon guarding the Ruby. She shot water at
him. Nothing happened. Jane was scared. She dropped the pouch and the ash flew out. “Bù! (No!),” she
screamed. But the dragon was more surprised. The ash degenerated the dragon and Jane hastily got the
Ruby. She went back home slowly because unconscious 14-year-olds are heavy.
In battle, Jane threw the Ruby at the emperor accidentally and the emperor screamed in pain, as he yelled
cuss words at them. But Jane and Jacob had won. “The dragon that you saw there in the Underworld? He’s
not dead,” “He is a Ruby Dragon, one of the emperor’s pets,” Biyu explained. “The dragon that you saw in
