A Surprise Visitor Kau Yan School, Wan, Kalysta - 9 It was a very hot day, especially for a 9-year-old girl called Eunice, who had recently broken the fan in her house. Suddenly, CRASH! CREAK! SNAP! BANG! She strode over to the window and spied a beautiful, purple sphere balanced on a surprisingly large tree. Inside the sphere was an alien girl with turquoise skin, long whiskers, big eyes and trumpet ears. At first, she thought her eyes were playing tricks on her, because there’s no such thing as aliens, surely! She decided to investigate! She quickly put on her shoes, ran outside and up the hill to the bottom of the large tree. She looked up. She thought about climbing the tree, and changed her mind when she saw an army of ants marching up the bark. She saw the purple sphere at the top, balancing perfectly like a graceful ballerina. “HI” Eunice yelled up the tree. “Hello” said a voice from behind Eunice. She jumped nearly as high as the tree and turned around. There was the alien girl. She was almost as tall as Eunice, and covered with turquoise fur, which made her look very much like an overgrown cat. “I’m Melay, what’s your name?” asked the alien girl. “Eunice. Why are you here?” Melay replied “It was a complete accident. I took a wrong turn near Mars. Can you please tell me where I am?” Eunice said, “You are in the Greater Bay Area, in Hong Kong, Kowloon.” “Let me input that into my alienbase.” said Melay, then she quickly exclaimed “Oh no! I’m on Earth! It’s infested with HUMANS! I’d better go!” Melay disappeared. Eunice looked disappointed and she waited to see the Sphere fly away. After a few minutes she gave up and was walking home when she heard the grinding noises of the engine and a few miniature explosions. Melay’s voice could be heard saying “Darn, it won’t work!” She popped her head out of the window and said “Hey, don’t go yet. Can you tell me more about the Greater Bay Area?” Eunice stopped, relieved, and turned around, “Great!!! Let me show you!” Suddenly, Melay was beside Eunice. “What can you show me?” she asked. Eunice said excitedly, “Let’s go to Chimelong Ocean Kingdom in Zhuhai over the Hong Kong-Zhuhai- Macau Bridge.” Melay suddenly shouted, “Alright let’s go now. Let me get my invisibility cloak!” Eunice exclaimed “Oh, I thought those things only existed in Harry Potter! Whatever! Let’s go!” “Wait, what?” cried Eunice. “Like our alien stuff, don’t you?” laughed Melay as she pulled out a small gadget. Instantly a bubble surrounded them and Eunice found herself flying across the great Hong Kong- Zhuhai- Macau Bridge. “THIS IS UNFORGETTABLE!” yelled Eunice as they flew over the bridge. The bridge looked spectacular from the sky, it looked endless. It is a 55-kilometer bridge-tunnel with four artificial islands.
