The market incorporated all the good things from Hong Kong, Macao, and mainland China, so I loved it. There were numerous stalls selling knick- knacks, and food stalls along with others. In the distance, I could hear the bunch of gamblers talking and laughing while they walked to the casino. Casinos. I thought, a speciality of Macao. Ping-- A ping from my phone reminded me of my family. It was a text from my mom, telling me to get back to have breakfast with them. Oookay. I looked around the market again, reveling in the atmosphere. I smiled, but for no apparent reason. Picking up my pace, I hurried back to the house. Before, when I thought about this place, all I thought was, I hate this place. I detest it. But now, I realize, that maybe this place really isn’t so bad after all.
