Tiffany looked up from his notes and lay her head on the table. It sounds interesting, very interesting. It sounded like china’s making a mega city, maybe the biggest city in the world. Tiffany sighed and dreamed of what it would be like if she moved there, with her family. Touring in Macau, high-tech everything in Shenzhen... Only if I get out of here first... Tiffany’s eyes widened at the thought. How do I get out of here? Tiffany’s terrified yet hopeful eyes flew to the stage on the professor. As many pens returned to the desk with a clank, the professor checked her watch, pursed her lips and announced, “Students, it’s time for lunch and we will continue with this tomorrow.” She gathered her note cards and strode of the stage. The lights brightened and students packed their things chattily. A choking sensation of helplessness rose inside Tiffany. The girl next to her forgot her notepad on the table and disappeared into the crowd. Tiffany snatched it up and looked around, panicking. She ran for the nearest exit, but her foot hooked onto something on the way. She stumbled forward, banged her forehead on the table and landed on the carpeted floor. She yelped in pain, the theatre twisting and stretching in front of her very eyes. Tiffany closed them and her consciousness leaked away... A midnight later Tiffany’s eyes shot open, and the blurry view of the dark, silent camp emergency room came into focus. It was all a dream... Tiffany felt something hard near her hand.
