Marey’s Sea Adventures

Long ago there lived a mermaid called Marey. She was kind, funny and smart. She lived in the beautiful and
fantastic ocean with amazing sea life.
One early morning, Marey decided to go to the darkest place. Suddenly, she saw a starving shark looking for
his breakfast. She was petrified and she swam for her life. She hid behind the boulder and waited for the
shark to leave.
When the shark left, Marey swam home quickly. She told her sisters but her sisters just didn’t believe her
because she was the youngest in the family. However she didn’t give up. She bravely went back while her
sisters were daydreaming.
When she returned to the darkest place of the ocean, the shark was still in the reef. Marey thought that the
shark was still finding his food. Marey gathered her courage and asked him why he was chasing her. The
shark said, “Actually, I have something in my teeth.” Marey looked and looked and she found a piece of
plastic stuck between his teeth. Marey tried to get it out and it worked. The shark was very pleased. Marey
was also happy!
Since the incident, they have become the best friends! The sing songs, play friendly and be kind to each
other!
