“Right. I am in desperate need of your help! I have got an antidote to heal the AI machines infected by the virus. Ben said that you would be able to help apply it,” said Andrew. “I remember Ben well. But I still have no idea about how effective your antidote is. How can I just use it?” Professor Greg questioned. “This antidote is the next generation AI system that we have developed. Here is the data of the clinical trials.” Andrew showed the information to Professor Greg. “The results look promising …” murmured Professor Greg. “But it takes an hour to complete the installation for one robot. I am afraid that the infected machines may have already made dreadful mistakes before they get vaccinated.” Andrew wasn’t sure. “Good old Ben,” acclaimed Professor Greg. “I have developed a new network protocol, which is 1000 times quicker than the current data transmission speed in the internet. As all the AI robots and drones are connected via the ‘Internet of Things’ network in GBA, I can download the antidote to them all in no time!” boasted Professor Greg. “Here you go,” Andrew handed the antidote to Professor Greg. Professor Greg inserted the antidote into a mobile device, then plugged it into his desktop computer. Words appeared on the display screen – “Installation in Progress …” ONE MONTH LATER… ‘Ping pong, ping pong!’ Inside Professor Greg’s laboratory, Andrew was defending the aggressive shots from his opponent – again an AI robot. “How did the robot react so fast?” Ben was startled. “The robot is learning much quicker after we have employed Professor Greg’s new network protocol,” said Andrew, losing focus for a second – and losing yet another match. “Come on! This is the third match that I’ve lost in a row!” “You did a brilliant job, and we saved millions of AI robots and drones,” Ben said to Professor Greg. Andrew turned a questioning glance on Professor Greg and asked, “Will you join our company?” “Thanks to the team that we have been building here,” Professor Greg took a sip of coffee. “I have great desire in research, and Hong Kong is just the perfect place for us.” “I agreeeee,” came a mechanical voice. They stared up at the robot speechlessly. “Uh… you can talk?”
