Not long after, the cops arrested Mr. Robertson. In the presence of Dr. Kwan, one of the cops questioned him angrily, “What did you apply on the dinosaurs?” Without waiting for his response, the other cop asked further, “Did you have any remedy?” Mr. Robertson regretfully answered, “I am so sorry about the disaster. Due to my selfishness, I have been spending most of the time researching on a medicine aiming at making modeled animals move and speak like real ones. But it’s sad to find that the dosage I applied was wrong. The remedies are available at my research centre. But they needed to be fine-tuned a bit.” In view of the urgency, Mr. Robertson was temporarily released to help Dr. Kwan, but under close monitor of the police. Meanwhile, the police and the military force were making their best attempt to minimize the dinosaurs’ destruction to the city. This time, Thomas’ watch was to turn the army tanks into macro-sized. This threatened the dinosaurs to run to the countryside. They were all heading to Pagoda at the Zosai Hills. Several days later, with both Dr. Kwan and Mr. Robertson’s joint effort, the “anti-motion” pills were successfully finished. It was developed as big as a cannonball which could be shot out by cannons. The dinosaurs fell down and froze one after the other with every single shot the army made. They became heroes and were well-known amongst all Shanghainese. At last, the day came and it was time for Thomas to leave Old Shanghai. Thomas was glad to participate in the mission which made it the most unforgettable experience in the entire trip. However, Thomas was saddened by the massive destruction inflicted on Old Shanghai by the dinosaurs. Dr. Kwan patted his shoulder and said, “Hey boy, don’t be upset. I trust you should have heard of an old saying which is ‘Out with the old, in the new’, right?” Thomas nodded and answered, “Alright, Shanghai is going to start a new chapter after reconstruction. I hope I can come back to Shanghai to see this place again after rebuild.”
