Lin got on the carriage and was on her way to the Japanese army camp . When the go there she pushed into an cell inside the basement with all the other people they captured . The butcher , butcher ’ s wife , beggar boy down the street from where Lin lived , Lin ’ s neighbour , and Lin ’ s and Mei ’ s long lost friend Camille . Camille is french and she moved here two years ago on the same street as Lin and Mei . But the first year when Camille went to work two months later she disappeared . From that day on they never saw each other again . But now when she looks at Camille again , Camille ’ s hair is white not blonde , she has scars everywhere bot that milky skin she used to have . Suddenly she heard footsteps which disturbed her thoughts the same soldier came into the room and took the butcher into the room at the end of the hall way . After the soldier locked the door there was a scream and then silence . Suddenly the butchers wife began to cry . “ Why is she crying ” Lin asked Camille in french . “ Because whoever goes in there will never come out ” Camille replied .
Suddenly Mei , Qin , and Tang broke the doors and came inside the basement . They rescued everyone but the soldiers must of heard them because later they were surrounded by ten Japanese soldiers with guns . Qin , Mei , Lin , and Tang fought them easily and won even though in the end some people from their side died . They rescued the alive people from their side and returned them home .
Two years later that day 1945 September Second was he happiest day of the Chinese people ’ s lives because he Japanese have decide to leave ! That day Mei , Camille , Tang , Lin and Qin met together to celebrate . The Chinese government said they can take a break for five years since they ’ ve been working for the past twenty years . The friends can ’ t wait for their next adventure !
