A Tale of Old Shanghai

t was the first of January in 1920 . It was noon in Shanghai . A lot of Americans went into Shanghai . They hit the Shanghainese without any permission of the government of Shanghai . The Shanghainese was very angry . Lolden Yeung , A soldier , said that Shanghai must had a fight with the Americans . All the soldiers agreed . Even the General Jack Eld agreed .
At the second day , the Shanghai soldiers killed many Americans . The American soldiers rushed to fight back the Shanghai soldiers .
The “ World War ” did not stop for a week . At the seventh of January , the head soldier of Americans , Bady , put a bomb at the office of Jack Eld . After one minute , the bomb will exploded ! Fortunately , a soldier saw this . He rushed into the office to tell Jack Ed this matter . Jack Ed said ,” The Beijing soldiers will come to help us soon , that time , we can take the time when they are fighting with the Americans soldiers to find the bomb and stop it .”
Their thinking got success . The Shanghai soldiers were searching Jack Ed ’ s office . Suddenly , a soldier found the bomb . It ’ s got just ten seconds until the bomb exploded . If he called his friends , the bomb will explode . What could he do ? Nine , eight , seven , what could he do ? Two , one …… nothing happens . What ? Why did the bomb not exploded ? Because the soldier use his own drinking water to let the bomb gone . What a smart man !
When the American soldiers knew that the bomb was gone . They are very angry but exhausted because their final weapon was gone . They were going to run and the Beijing soldiers fight them when they run until they were all died . Unfortunately , Bady got on a boat and went quickly back to America .
After this war , Lolden Yeung had been promoted to vise general . The soldier who tell the matter of bomb and the soldier who stopped the bomb got a medal . The general Jack Ed said that everyone should study these two nice soldiers .
