t was a horrifying day for Shanghai , since the Green Gang robbed 100 thousand dollars from the Shanghai and Banking Corporation . The police had been searching where they had hidden it but still no results . Mike the police officer who was brave , smart , handsome and clumsy came out of the police station . He angrily said ,” I will try my best to find those robbers !”
The next day started off calm but suddenly everyone near the police station , smelled strong smoke coming from the police station . It was on fire ! Out of nowhere , a gang of people who had evil looking grins on their faces came out . Everybody was terrified . The gang leader said , “ NOBODY MOVE AN INCH , I AM DU YUESHENG .’’ He looked tough , tall and he had a scar on his face he soon told everyone to hand in every valuable thing they had . Du was very greedy ; he wanted to be rich and one day RULE OVER SHANGHAI . Everyone was afraid to fight back , them because the gangsters had big steel plates that can knock you straight out ! Everybody soon realized that the police station was completely burnt down ! Then the gang escaped in a flash .
All of the police except Officer Mike and 4 other officers were not injured . They ran away just in time before the fire flooded the police station , the other police officers were seriously injured they needed about a month until they could leave the hospital , Mike wanted to avenge his fellow police officers . He went to the place where they last saw the Green Gang , Mike traced down the footprint of the gang , it soon leaded him to the Shanghai Railway Station , where they thought they might be able to find the gangs secret lair . The lair was very dark . It seemed that it was a good while since anybody had been there but Mike and the other 4 cops found something rather strange . Out of all the doors this one had a little light creeping Mike peeked through a gap in the door and he saw five guys discussing cheerfully about something and he also saw a bundle of money in the corner . Mike knew he had to do something . Without thinking , he opened the door and yelled , “ SURRENDER thieves !” The 4 other cops came along . Du Yue Sheng ran away straight past us , abandoning his friends . The other three cops handcuffed them straight away .
Mike ’ s friends told him to go first to catch Du . They would take care of the rest . Mike ran in top speed straight to the place where Du would most likely be : the railway station . Just as he guessed , Du was about to jump on the train but mike ran and pulled Du and he fell straight down , Du got back up and the chase was on ! Du ran straight to the Bund one of the most crowded areas ever and he stole a bicycle . Mike asked to borrow a bicycle from the people on the Bund but nobody would lend it to him , it was foggy , so he couldn ' t see people well and the place was so crowed , it made it even harder to spot Du . He thought it was over but a miracle happened , when he was just about to go back , he saw Du was about to break into an empty house and hide , but a pebble made him fall straight head first into the door , getting his ear stuck in the door !!
Mike ran straight up and handcuffed him . He laughed cheerfully while Du was raging with anger . Mike soon brought Du to a jail with his gang members , who were very angry because Du left them . Mike left the prison and told everybody in town that we caught the green gang !! Everyone cheered happily for Mike and his friends , soon Mike and his friends gave back all the money that had been stolen and the bicycle too !
And that is how Du got his name ” Big Ear Du ”.
( PS that is not the real reason why he is named big ear du , at least I don ' t think so .)
