I want to look for places, which can represent the Old Shanghai. But how can I find them? Fortunately, I have the time machine. I sat on the cloud, started the time machine, returned to the time of one hundred years ago. How blue the sky was then. The newsboy was calling "extra, extra." In the Gold Mansion,there seemed to be sharp eyes which saw through the clouds to watch me. It was Shanghai's most legendary boss Du Yuesheng. It was really a sickening glance. I jumped to the pink cloud. Before siting well, I heard the sound of "Nights of Shanghai, Shanghai Nights...".Bright moon, few stars were in the sky. I came to Bailemen. With more than seventy years of history, it was the most western style building. But it was not the one that I wanted. I jumped on to another blanket of colorful cloud. Then upon the Whampoa River, there was a storm, and the wind carried me away. I saw the Oriental Pearl, the Jinmao Tower and the Whampoa bridge. Whampoa bridge looked like a dragon hovering in the clouds. I also found that people were riding bicycles outside the department store. Across the city, people were in a hurry. With the heavy traffic, I was pushed upon by a crowd, and did not know where to go. Surrounded by tall buildings, I felt a little dizzy. "Lennon hao .Lennon qie gu fan fa?”“ennon Sa ning ah” as ears were full of the languages I did not understand , I went to a Shanghai alley. We walked in the narrow alleys slowly. It seemed that the time had been still. So this was what I wanted , the most characteristic places of Old Shanghai!
