The evil witch suddenly turned around , surprising the boys . Then , she hollered “ Freeze !” Teng-hui and Wangjin were suddenly frozen . They saw the witch holding a staff made of amber and wearing an amulet . “ Let ’ s have a battle . “ Teng-hui asked viciously . “ We know you want to conquer everything . Winner takes all .” The witch freed the boys from her grip . The boys fell to the ground with a thud . Then , her staff began to glow . “ Bring it on , old woman !” said Teng-hui . He and Wangjin began to chant , and their weapons burned with blue flames . Wangjin entered a stance and prepared to fight . “ Let the battle begin ! ” Wangjin immediately conjured a suit of armor , the witch imitating him . Then the witch began attacking with different spells . But Wangjin had absolutely no resistance . He was getting hit , and was dangerously close to being destroyed . Suddenly , Wangjin stood up and began to use the Umbrella to summon elementals . He used the spell Revenge to power up . But , still , Wangjin had not enough power , and a moment later , he was defeated .
“ Now it ’ s your turn !” The witch cackled . Teng-hui grasped his Sword , cried ” For China !” and began to battle .
He slashed the witch ’ s staff with his sword . As the witch began summoning skeletons to battle , Teng-hui conjured a bow and shot her amulet . It shattered into a million pieces . “ No ! My power source !” Her staff shattered too ! “ Please spare me !” the witch groveled . Teng-hui replied “ I shall spare you !” What he didn ’ t notice was that the witch had a dagger in her hand , and was planning to stab him ! Suddenly , a fire spirit snatched the dagger , and burst into flames , burning the witch to death .
It was Wangjin who had summoned the elemental . He was fully healed , and standing right behind Teng-hui . “ Great battle !” They walked out of the temple … and saw the Japanese soldiers in a trance , waiting for commands . Teng-hui said ” Return to your homeland !” The soldiers obediently marched away from Shanghai . The boys walked away smiling , knowing that Shanghai was safe at last .
