Jenny in Old Shanghai Bradbury School, Walther, Eva – 7 O nce there was a dog called Jenny and she lived in Old Shanghai in a peaceful garden near a little river with flowers and lily-pads. The house top was curvy and red. The inside was beautiful with a balcony and no windows, and two statues on each side of the house. Outside there were cherry blossoms on the right side of the house. Pui Pui is the owner of Jenny the dog. One morning Jenny the dog went outside to the centre of the city and then she went back home. Then she went to the road and safely crossed. When she came back home she found a pineapple! Then she found a cat. She chased it to the tree near her house. Then she went out to the road again and went in the jewellery shop and looked around. Then she went to a garden, but not her garden, and there was a robber. The robber tried to kill Jenny but she came back to her house just in time. Pui Pui was wondering where Jenny had gone to. “Where did you go Jenny?” said Pui Pui. Jenny said nothing, only one bark, “Woof!” she said. And then Jenny and Pui Pui lived happily ever after
